City Of Launceston
Tasmania
Beneath the surface of Tasmania's largest northern city, something compelling is always at work. Launceston is a city of depth, historic bluestone laneways giving way to world-class dining, cool-climate wines from the Tamar Valley, and a UNESCO City of Gastronomy status that places it firmly at the global dinner table. It's a city where farmers' markets sit alongside urban bars, where paddock-to-plate isn't a trend but a way of life, and where a diverse, welcoming community brings the world to your doorstep.
Just like the city itself, the work of the City of Launceston runs deeper than it first appears. And right now, there's a rare opportunity to be part of it.

Why Launceston?
Because this city gives back. Exceptional quality of life, a thriving food and wine culture, outstanding natural surroundings, and a connected community make Launceston one of Australia's most liveable cities. Launceston offers the quality of life that larger cities promise but rarely deliver. It's a place where your career and your lifestyle can genuinely grow together.
