About the role:As a Store Person, you will perform designated duties relating to the efficient operation and good housekeeping of a busy distribution warehouse.Your key responsibilities include:Perform functions associated with receipt, handling, storage, picking, packing and despatch, in accordance with current standard operating procedures and Guidelines.Ensure timely attention to assigned tasks and priorities to meet routine delivery schedule and urgent delivery requirements.Carry out housekeeping duties as required, to ensure a clean and safe work environment.Maintain and contribute to a secure work environment in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety procedures and Guidelines.Utilise technological applications as part of a warehouse management system or similar and operate powered mechanical handling equipment applicable to the position.Maintain flexibility and availability across operational rosters.Contribute to business efficiency by performing additional tasks aligned with team goals and supervisor direction.Role fit:The essential requirements for this role are:Understanding of or the ability to acquire knowledge of warehouse operations and pharmaceutical terminology within a wholesale distribution environment.Ability to work in an efficient and accurate manner with a degree of independence and within established guidelines.Follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and perform cohesively as a team member.Knowledge of, or ability to learn the use of computerised warehouse management systems, as well as other warehouse technology applications.Why work for us:Competitive salariesCareer development opportunitiesGenerous leave entitlements, including 17.5% leave loadingEmployee wellbeing programsOur commitment to equity, diversity and inclusionAt Queensland Health, our work environment is inclusive and supportive, and we value our employees.
