Synopsis
Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fifth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing, transport and health care. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 69,000 and is culturally rich with 17.4% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.

We are currently looking for two highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Officers to fill permanent roles within the Greater Shepparton City Council's Building, Planning and Compliance Department.
Responsibilities
Providing prompt and productive administrative support to the Building, Statutory Planning, Strategic Planning, and Compliance Teams within the Building Planning and Compliance Department.
Maintaining accurate building, planning,
local laws and parking enforcement related records and attending to a range of administrative support tasks in a detailed, friendly and efficient manner.
Working effectively and efficiently in a flexible team environment to fulfil the administration, building, planning, local laws and parking enforcement and other support requirements of the department.
Providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
Experience in office support and administration in local government or a related field, is desirable.
