About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting major infrastructure projects across Australia. Working within a multinational construction environment, you will play a key role in financial reporting, project accounting and compliance, partnering closely with project teams and senior finance stakeholders to support business performance and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Manage month‐end, quarter‐end and year‐end close activities, including journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules
Prepare statutory and management reports while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities and project operations
Perform project accounting activities, including project cost allocation, WIP reporting, cost tracking and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting and the ongoing monitoring of financial performance across projects and business units
Prepare GST, FBT and other statutory reporting requirements, while supporting intercompany transactions, group reporting and audit processes




Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, financial reporting, systems and internal controls
Partner with project teams and finance stakeholders to provide accurate financial information and support informed business decision‐making
About You
Solid experience in financial accounting or project accounting within Australia
Previous experience in the construction, infrastructure, engineering or other project‐based industries
Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and statutory reporting requirements
Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar is highly regarded
CA or CPA qualification is highly regarded
