Our client is a family-owned business specialising in commercial glazing and architectural glazed systems for commercial build projects and the high-end residential market.
With over 30 years' experience across Central and North Queensland and factories in Mackay and Townsville, they've built a robust reputation for craftsmanship and quality, delivering projects across sectors including defence, health and aged care, education, and major commercial developments.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to install commercial and architectural window and door systems to a high standard of quality and precision.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting shop drawings accurately
Mentoring apprentices and trade assistants on-site
Using laser levels to set frame heights and positioning
Installing commercial and architectural window and door systems
Liaising with builders to coordinate installation schedules and requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Glass and Glazing) and current driver's licence
Proven experience installing commercial and architectural glazing/aluminium systems, ideally on commercial construction sites
Strong attention to detail, ability to read shop drawings, and a collaborative approach to working with builders and mentoring junior team members
