The Role
Reporting directly to the Payroll Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring payroll excellence across the organisation. This is a high‐impact position with a strong focus on compliance, governance, and continuous improvement.
Leading payroll compliance and governance frameworks across the business
Maintaining the integrity of payroll data and driving robust audit processes
Interpreting complex awards and enterprise agreements (EBAs)
Overseeing Single Touch Payroll (STP) processes, including validation and back‐pay calculations
Coaching, mentoring, and developing a payroll team member
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and best practice implementation
Candidate Profile
You are an experienced senior payroll professional with a strong compliance mindset and the ability to operate in a complex environment.
Extensive end‐to‐end payroll expertise, including governance and compliance
Proven experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
Ideally, experience within healthcare or a similar large, complex industry
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capability
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
A team-oriented leadership style with the ability to mentor others
