Play a vital role in ensuring
secure, reliable, and compliant server infrastructure
supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory operations.

.
Key Responsibilities
Server Infrastructure Administration
Deploy, configure, and maintain
Windows and Linux servers
supporting
manufacturing, laboratory, and quality systems
.
Manage server infrastructure across
On-Premises, Virtualized (VMware/Hyper-V), and Cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS)
.
Design, implement, and support
high availability (HA) architectures
, including clustering, failover, load balancing, and redundancy.
Perform
capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
for server environments.
Plan and manage
Storage Area Network (SAN)
infrastructure, including storage allocation, replication, backup integration, and performance optimization.
Laboratory & Manufacturing Systems Support
Provide server infrastructure support for
Laboratory Systems
, including:
LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)
CDS (Chromatography Data Systems)
SDMS (Scientific Data Management Systems)
eLN (Electronic Laboratory Notebooks)
Support
Manufacturing and OT systems
, including:
MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
Serialization Systems
Historian Systems
EMS (Environmental Monitoring Systems)
Work closely with application owners, vendors, OT engineers, and quality teams to ensure
validated, performant, and compliant system operations
.
Legacy Systems & Platform Management
Provide support for
legacy operating systems
required by manufacturing and laboratory platforms.
Execute
upgrade, migration, remediation, or isolation strategies
for end-of-life systems while maintaining validated state.
Ensure security hardening, patching strategies, risk assessments, and documentation for legacy environments.
Monitoring, Backup & Business Continuity
Monitor
server health, availability, capacity, and performance
using enterprise monitoring tools.
Manage
backup, restore,



and disaster recovery (DR)
solutions for critical GxP systems.
Support
business continuity planning (BCP)
and participate in periodic DR testing.
IT Service Management & Automation
Perform server management activities using
ServiceNow
, including:
Incident, problem, change, and configuration management
Server provisioning, patching, and compliance automation
Asset and lifecycle management
Ensure adherence to
ITIL/ITSM processes
, change control, and validation documentation standards.
Security, Compliance & IT/OT Segregation
Manage servers in
secured environments
aligned with corporate cybersecurity policies and regulatory expectations.
Ensure compliance with
GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, and internal security standards
.
Support
IT and OT network segregation
, ensuring proper isolation between enterprise IT, laboratory, and manufacturing networks.
Configure and manage
firewalls, VLANs, access controls, and routing policies
in collaboration with network teams.
Support
VPNs and secure remote access
for internal users, vendors, and OEMs.
Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect systems from
internal and external threats
, including:
Server hardening and patching
Antivirus/EDR
Least-privilege access
Logging, monitoring, and audit readiness
Vulnerability remediation and incident support
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with
domain administrators, network teams, OT engineers, application owners, quality, and cybersecurity teams
.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for
server-related incidents
impacting manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Participate in
global infrastructure initiatives, migrations, upgrades, and audit support activities
.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
BE / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
Experience
7-10 years of overall IT infrastructure experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry
Proven experience supporting
GxP-regulated manufacturing and laboratory environments
Key Skills & Competencies
Windows & Linux server administration
On-Prem, Virtual, and Cloud infrastructure




High availability and disaster recovery architectures
SAN and enterprise storage management
Laboratory and Manufacturing systems infrastructure (LIMS, MES, DCS, etc.)
ServiceNow-based server automation and ITSM
IT/OT security and network segmentation
Firewall, VPN, and secure access management
Strong understanding of
GxP, data integrity, and audit readiness
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
