About Our Client:
Our client is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of Perth's streets, public spaces, and community facilities.
They are currently seeking an experienced and reliable HR Waste Truck Driver / Street Cleaner to join their Day Shift Sanitation and Street Cleaning team based out of Osborne Park.
About the Role:
This is a hands‐on position combining driving duties with operational sanitation and street cleaning activities.
The successful candidate will work across various waste and cleaning operations, including rear lift trucks, leaf blowing, and high‐pressure cleaning equipment.
Rostered start and finish times vary throughout the week:
Monday: 6:42am - 3:06pm
Tuesday: 5:42am - 3:06pm
Wednesday: 5:42am - 2:06pm
Thursday: 5:42am - 3:06pm
Friday: 5:42am - 2:06pm
The role is based at Osborne Park and provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience with one of Perth's most recognised local government organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate HR waste collection and sanitation vehicles
Conduct rear‐lift waste collection activities
Operate leaf blowers and high‐pressure cleaning equipment
Complete daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations




Assist with maintaining clean streets, public spaces, and community areas
Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Current HR Driver's Licence
Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency
Previous experience operating waste collection, sanitation, or similar heavy vehicles
Ability to perform physically demanding work
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early starts
Positive attitude and solid teamwork skills
White Card (desirable)
Local government or civil maintenance experience (advantageous)
