Job Title - TEST V V Officer Job ID - ******* Security Clearance: NV1 Clearance Length of Contract: 10 months The role closes on 10/08/2026 Location: ACT Description We are seeking a dedicated Verification and Validation (V V) Officer to join our team in Canberra.
As a V V Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems, processes, and deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a solid analytical mindset and attention to detail, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
You will be responsible for developing and executing V V plans, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Experience with testing methodologies, risk assessment, and quality assurance practices will be highly advantageous.
Strong communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of V V activities.
A proactive attitude, ability to work independently, and a passion for continuous improvement are key attributes we value.
Deliverables The Verification and Validation (V V) Officer will provide Verification, Validation, and Test Evaluation (T E) support to the xxx Program, ensuring system requirements are effectively verified, validated, and demonstrated throughout the system lifecycle to support design assurance, integration, acceptance, and operational readiness.
The V V Officer shall: Develop, maintain, and coordinate Verification and Validation Plans (VVPs) aligned with program schedules, milestones, and engineering activities.
Define and implement verification strategies and methodologies, including testing, analysis, inspection,
and demonstration activities.
Support the planning and execution of Test Evaluation (T E) activities, including the development of test concepts, scenarios, procedures, and test schedules.
Participate in integration, system, acceptance, and operational testing activities, including field trials and demonstrations where required.
Maintain requirements traceability to ensure all system requirements are appropriately allocated, verified, validated, and closed in accordance with program requirements.
Develop, review, and maintain test cases, test procedures, test scripts, acceptance criteria, and verification matrices.
Coordinate with engineering, systems integration, and project teams to ensure systems are testable, integrated, compliant, and ready for verification and validation activities.
Monitor and assess test execution activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
Analyse test results and verification evidence to identify defects, non-conformances, deficiencies, and areas requiring corrective action.
Support investigation, resolution, and closure of test-related issues, defects, and non-compliance findings.
Prepare and maintain test reports, verification records, validation evidence, compliance documentation,
and assurance artefacts in support of program governance and acceptance activities.
Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies associated with verification, validation, integration, and testing activities.
SFIA Skills Sought: The planning, design, management, execution and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations.
The purpose of testing is to ensure that new and amended systems, configurations, packages, or services, together with any interfaces, perform as specified (including security requirements) , and that the risks associated with deployment are adequately understood and documented.
Testing includes the process of engineering, using and maintaining testware (test cases, test scripts, test reports, test plans, etc) to measure and improve the quality of the software being tested.
TEST Level 2: Defines test conditions for given requirements.
Designs test cases and creates test scripts and supporting data, working to the specifications provided.
Interprets, executes and records test cases in accordance with project test plans.
Analyses and reports test activities and results.
Identifies and reports issues and risks.
