Fluence is seeking a Market Strategy Analyst to help identify and pursue commercial opportunities emerging from Australia's energy transition and one of the most energetic energy markets in the world.
Responsibilities
Research, analyse, and interpret market developments to support Fluence's commercial, product, and customer engagement activities across Australia.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to generate insights that inform product positioning, customer engagement, and commercial decision‐making.
Develop market insights and strategic recommendations that support decision‐making across Australian and global teams.
Build and support business cases, project economics, and IRR models to evaluate new products, services, and market opportunities.
Contribute to customer segmentation and market sizing that help Fluence prioritise customers, markets, and growth opportunities.
Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to communicate market developments and emerging commercial opportunities.




Leverage analysis to support the development of sales enablement materials and customer‐facing insights.
Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to translate market intelligence, customer needs, and regulatory developments into practical commercial initiatives and product improvements.
Develop analytical tools, reporting frameworks, and market intelligence resources that support decision‐making.
Contribute to initiatives that strengthen Fluence's competitiveness and market position.
Support industry engagement and thought leadership activities where appropriate.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in energy markets, renewable energy, infrastructure, advisory, market analytics, economics, policy, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to interpret complex market, commercial, technical, or regulatory information.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models, project economics, business cases, or IRR analysis.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.




Ability to develop clear recommendations from complex data and competing priorities.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
Additional Skills
Experience in customer segmentation, market sizing, competitor analysis, or market opportunity assessment.
Exposure to product positioning, sales enablement, customer engagement, or go‐to‐market initiatives.
Capability in Python, AI, automation, or data analytics tools to support research, modelling, and insight generation.
Understanding of Australia's energy transition and the role of energy storage in supporting a low‐carbon electricity system.
Ability to work collaboratively across technical, commercial, and policy‐focused teams.
Curiosity, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving business challenges.
Experience preparing presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
