As a Senior Contaminated Land Consultant, you will support, manage, and lead contaminated land projects across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, transport, water, energy, property, and government sector projects.
You will work on complex contamination challenges, including site investigations and remediation, while partnering with clients to deliver practical, regulator-aligned solutions.
Drawing on your earth or geological sciences, environmental science or environmental engineering expertise, and ideally your experience operating in Victoria's regulatory environment, you will help guide projects through evolving environmental requirements, approvals processes, and stakeholder expectations.

The Opportunity Lead and deliver contaminated land projects and inputs, including site investigations, contamination assessments, remediation strategies, waste classification, environmental impact assessments, and due diligence studies.
Manage multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and project resources to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Work with specialists from many of Arup's broad-ranging technical disciplines and learn about other areas of environmental and engineering consultancy, design and construction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, consultants, and other stakeholders while providing trusted technical advice and tailored solutions.
Prepare, review, and oversee technical reports, risk assessments, remediation plans, feasibility studies, and environmental management documentation.
Mentor and support junior team members, contribute to capability development, and drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and industry best practices.

Is this role right for you?
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body.
Demonstrated experience in contaminated land assessment, management, and remediation within a consulting environment.
Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and managing complex technical deliverables.
Sound knowledge of Victorian environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, OH
