Overview SA Health is seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Direct Care Workers – Residential to join the team at Cleve MPS.
In this role, you will support residents of the Residential Care Home with daily care, comfort, dignity, and wellbeing as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
About the role You will provide direct care to residents in a residential aged care setting, helping with personal care, mobility, hygiene, grooming, toileting, laundry, environment care, and other day-to-day support tasks.
The role also involves completing routine documentation, contributing observations, assisting with diversional therapy, and supporting safe, person-centred care.
Key duties Deliver respectful, compassionate care to residents in line with their individual needs.
Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility support, and transfer assistance.
Support residents with communication aids, hearing aids, glasses, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe setting.
Assist with routine treatments, self-administration of medication under direction, and general resident support.
Complete documentation, record observations, and contribute to resident assessment and care planning.
Work effectively within a team and maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
What we're looking for Experience providing direct care in a health, aged care, disability, or similar setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
Ability to work under supervision, use initiative, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable Current First Aid certificate.
Knowledge of aged care standards and aged care-related issues.
