We are working with a leading mining client seeking an experienced
Procurement Specialist
to support procurement activities for a remote operation progressing through its site closure phase. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and cost-effective site operations while working across a diverse portfolio of goods and services.

, this is a
Monday to Friday
opportunity offering the chance to work closely with both site and corporate stakeholders while supporting critical operational outcomes throughout the site closure process.
Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, you will manage the full procurement lifecycle, partnering with operational stakeholders to deliver sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and build strong supplier relationships. You will provide commercial guidance, ensure compliance with procurement governance, and identify opportunities to improve value, reduce risk, and strengthen supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of goods and services.
Partner with site stakeholders to understand operational requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
Lead competitive sourcing events, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract formation.
Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and commercial outcomes.
Provide procurement advice while ensuring compliance with governance and procurement standards.
Build and maintain robust supplier relationships supporting safe, reliable operations.
Support contract administration, reporting, spend analysis, and procurement planning.
Identify opportunities to optimise cost, reduce risk, and improve supply chain resilience.
About You
Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management across goods and services.
Strong capability in sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and commercial risk management.
Proven ability to manage multiple procurement activities within a complex operational environment.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound commercial judgement.
Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across operational and corporate teams.
High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Experience using SAP or similar procurement systems will be highly regarded.
