Role
Senior Power Systems Engineer – responsible for leading projects in the Power Systems Engineering portfolio, serving as the primary technical support expert for advanced applications such as EMS, GMS and ADMS.
Provides end‐to‐end technical ownership for customer engagements, collaborates with cross‐functional teams in Application Engineering, Architecture, Product Solution and Software Development, and supports implementation, testing, training and operational troubleshooting of advanced control systems at electric utilities.
Responsibilities
Lead projects in the Power Systems Engineering portfolio, providing technical leadership and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as the primary customer contact, collaborating with cross‐functional teams to plan, design, execute and test advanced applications.
Support implementation of control systems at electric utilities, configure and integrate software components to meet contract specifications.
Assist customers in interfacing with varying data sources, extracting, translating and utilizing third‐party data for advanced application functionality.
Provide technical support and training for customers, troubleshooting and resolving issues on live systems.
Work closely with functional development teams to prioritize, test and release product changes.
Travel as required,
often on short notice to customer sites.
Qualifications
Advanced graduate degree in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum five years of experience in an Application Engineering or similar role with deep troubleshooting of complex systems and software applications.
Solid knowledge of electric power system design, control systems, and modeling.
Background in software engineering and familiarity with databases and data warehousing is a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication, organization and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel internationally and respond to short‐notice travel requests.
