The day to day
ALS Geochemistry is seeking a
Quality Analyst
to join our national Quality team.
In this
full-time
role, you will investigate and manage quality matters relevant to our clients.
You will handle client incidents by conducting internal investigations with various laboratory stakeholders and providing clear, scientifically accurate communication on quality matters.
Based in
Malaga
, this position reports to the Regional Quality Manager, Australasia.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Communicate with the client upon receipt of a query and maintain timely correspondence until the query is resolved
Lead the internal investigation process in conjunction with various stakeholders in the laboratory, providing direction for laboratory personnel
Ensure the investigation proceeds promptly within the laboratory and regular feedback is provided to the client
Communicate with clients on the outcome of investigations, including assessing and reporting re-assays
Assemble summary reports in various formats (excel, word, pdf etc.) for both internal (laboratory) and external purposes (client)




Be an active member of national and global QA/QC groups by participating and contributing to peer groups
Be active in local, national, and global auditing teams
Other QA/QC duties as assigned by the Regional Quality Manager
The essentials
Related tertiary qualification
Demonstrated experience in an analytical laboratory (Geochemistry preferred, but other streams are also acceptable)
Ability to effectively handle escalations and time-critical issues
Excellent computer skills, including MS suite
Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
Positive judgement of interaction with external parties (clients)
Knowledge and experience with basic statistics
Ability to systematically analyze information and identify possible causes and consequences
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity, and ability to problem solve
