About The Role
We have a great chance for an enthusiastic Hospital Orderly to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis, minimum 60hrs a fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on-call, weekends, public holidays or trauma
Duties And Responsibilities
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
Assist the team with admissions and discharges and preparation of patients for surgery
Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to, in and from the operating theatre
Assist in cleaning and removal of waste and linen
Assist with stock management and maintain awareness of cost control
Ensure equipment is available as requested
Assist the team with maintenance requirements
Participate and collaborate in Quality activities as directed
Other general duties as guided and directed
About You
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
Solid experience as an Orderly within a hospital setting
Experience as a Theatre Orderly/ Theatre Technician highly desirable
Knowledge and understanding of lifting, positioning and transferring techniques using available equipment
Experience in supply / stock control management and ordering
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of infection control principles
Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
