Manager Decision Support
Business Banking (BB)
is a significant division of the Group, including Major Client Group (large corporates), Corporate Banking (metro located business customers), Regional and Agribusiness (rural/regional customers including agricultural-based businesses) and Small Business Banking (small businesses that operate primarily in local communities).
BB also includes Equities and Margin Lending (including CommSec).
The business unit contributes approximately $4bn to group profit, generating annual revenues of approximately $10bn with over 5,000 employees globally.
BB Finance
is a divisional finance team within the
Financial Services
division.

This role is part of a team of three Finance professionals, who partner with BB by providing a range of Finance expertise and services to help the team deliver on their ambitious strategy.
This role reports to Senior Manager Decision Support.
Together with your team you will play a pivotal role across BB finance in terms of:
Building strong partnerships across BB Finance, the business and broader finance community to deliver aligned outcomes, influence decision making and support the successful execution of strategic priorities.
Preparing time critical business review of strategic investments and transactions.
Performing analysis for ad hoc requests to facilitate decision making by the business
Supporting outstanding customer service, the role requires stakeholder management, across a wide range of stakeholders
Participating in a proactive risk based culture

Key areas of impact & contribution include;
Ability to articulate key business drivers, provide critical insights to drive debate, and deliver value-add analysis across the BB portfolio of products and segments
Advice and review of strategic investments and transactions (including working closely with M&A;)
Production of analysis and insight to drive BB performance and strategy
Production of Peer analysis to compare Business Banking performance relative to peers
Preparation of high quality presentations and supporting analysis / insight for senior management (BB Group Executive, BB CFO, BB Leadership Team and Group Finance)
Act as a point of contact for BB CFO, BB Finance GMs, and Group Finance in relation strategic transactions
Build and maintain productive relationships with Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders including BB Finance Teams, BB business, M&A;, Group Finance and Group Accounting Policy
Contribute to team culture and nurturing work environment
We're interested in hearing from people who have
Degree qualified (Business or Finance)
Post graduate qualification - CFA, CPA or CA Financial services experience preferred
Experience in a financial performance management or related advisory function
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise, with proven experience developing models
Results driven
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables.
