The Role This is a hands-on, career-building opportunity to support the establishment and operation of a new potato cropping enterprise near Katherine.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, you'll play a key role in crop production, machinery operation, leading field activities, and assisting with the future development of the farm with a clear succession path to lead the site in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and delivering crop production plans
Support crop planting, harvesting, and irrigation activities
Operate and maintain farm equipment, irrigation systems and infrastructure
Supervise future staff and contribute to building a positive team culture
Ensure compliance with relevant produce quality standards and food safety
Lead farming operations in the Farm Manager's absence

Key criteria includes:
Demonstrated cropping experience
Practical knowledge of irrigation systems, farm machinery and maintenance
ChemCert, forklift, and experience with GPS systems (advantageous, though not essential)
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously
