About the role
As an AOD Residential Case Manager, this is your opportunity to deliver flexible, participant-centred, recovery-focused case management within a residential AOD treatment program.
You will build therapeutic relationships, complete holistic assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, manage risk, and support participants through treatment, transition and aftercare planning.
Reporting to the AOD Residential Team Leader, this is a Permanent Full-Time position, based on-site in Bendigo, VIC.
This role is part of an on-call roster to provide response for risk matters outside normal business hours, consistent with the on-call arrangements.
How you will make an impact
Build therapeutic relationships that promote autonomy, hope and self-efficacy using strengths-based, recovery-oriented practice
Complete holistic assessments to identify participant needs, strengths, risks and treatment goals
Develop and deliver care plans including treatment matching, outcome monitoring, aftercare and exit planning
Provide evidence-based interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention and brief interventions
Manage risk and safety through assessment, safety planning, incident response and escalation
Coordinate care with internal and external services to support continuity of care and improved recovery outcomes
Facilitate group programs by delivering one to two groups per fortnight and providing backfill when required
Support transition and aftercare through planned/unplanned exit plans, referrals and assertive community linkages
What you will bring
AOD Skill Set (CHCSS*****), including CHCAOD001, CHCAOD004, CHCAOD006, CHCAOD009
Relevant qualifications such as Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related fields (preferred)
Experience working with people experiencing complex needs, including AOD use, mental health challenges, trauma, homelessness, and dual-diagnosis presentations
Demonstrated ability to apply trauma-informed,



strengths-based, recovery-oriented, and harm reduction approaches to support positive client outcomes
Strong case management, assessment, advocacy, risk management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across housing, health, and community service sectors
A Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
A current Victorian Driver's Licence
Conditions & Compensation
Compensation is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) – Level 5.
