Overview
Join Allens as a Trainee Practice Assistant and work across different legal teams on a 12‐month rotational program.
You will support legal operatives and Practice Executives, build administrative skills, and learn how various practice areas operate.
Responsibilities
Support Practice Support team members and legal operatives with accuracy, responsiveness and a focus on quality outcomes.
Develop administration skills, practice‐management capability and the judgment to prioritise, escalade and adapt as work changes.
Learn how to use firm software, technology systems and AI‐enabled tools thoughtfully to work smarter and support better team and client outcomes.
Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, generating reports, expense management, document amendments and document management across various programmes.
Assist with matter financials, including the monthly billing process: creating and amending bills, finalising billing narratives, and building an understanding of how this work supports our legal teams and clients.
Qualifications
Intermediate skill and accuracy with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and a willingness to build digital capability.
Interest in exploring new technology and AI, and using these tools to improve quality, efficiency and insight.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to organise, prioritise and take ownership of your work.
