Advanced Technical Support Engineer – Home and Building Automation
to join our
Pacific Zone Technical Support team.
Based in
Sydney

Adelaide (Australia)
, this role will report to the
Team Leader - Advanced Technical Support, Building Automation
.
As an Advanced Technical Support Engineer, you will perform a key role in guiding our Schneider Electric customers and businesses in their post-sales journey.
This includes installation, set‐up support, maintenance support and remote troubleshooting assistance.
Key responsibilities include:
Home & Buildings Automation Support
Understanding customer issues and expectations, including assessment of all relevant information which is required to perform comprehensive technical support
Managing the resolution of customer issues.
This includes liaising with multiple stakeholders (Local & global expert support teams, offer marketing, quality and R&D; teams) to help expedite resolutions
Helping to reduce end-to-end customer issue resolution times
Actively looking to build on technical knowledge and practical hands‐on expertise
Developing technical expertise with Schneider Electric's product range and contributing to company knowledge resources (FAQ's / Technical Articles / Troubleshooting videos)
Identification of current opportunities during engagement discussions with customers
Reinforcing Schneider Electric's reputationby providing excellent technical support to our customers
About you:
You have an innovative and resourceful mindset, can demonstrate strong personable communication skills and strive to deliver exceptional service for our customers.
In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes:
Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics or Trade Qualification with relevant experience (within the home & building automation industry)
Product‐specific training and / or necessary training qualifications within the home & building automation industry
Candidates with
existing experience
using Schneider Electric Home & Building Automation and Security hardware / software is preferable.
This includes but is not limited to C‐Bus, Dali and EcoStructure Buildings Operations
Experience with
technical fault finding
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and explain technical information
Excellent interpersonal, communications and time management skills
Advanced computer and data analysis skills
Excellent customer service skills
