Commercial Construction Carpentry ApprenticeAKAM Constructions is a Brisbane-based builder delivering residential and commercial projects across South East Queensland, with project values ranging from $5 million to $35 million.As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated Carpentry Apprentice who wants to build a long-term career in the commercial construction industry.This is not a traditional carpentry apprenticeship focused on day-to-day carpentry tasks.
Instead, you'll complete your apprenticeship while gaining valuable exposure to the broader commercial construction industry.
Working alongside experienced Site Managers and construction professionals, you'll learn project coordination, site supervision, quality control, subcontractor management, safety, programming, and how commercial projects are delivered from start to finish.This role is suited to someone who wants to build a future in commercial construction and develop the skills required to progress into roles such as a Leading Hand or Site Manager.What you'll be involved inAssisting with the delivery of commercial construction projects from start to finishSupporting Site Managers with day-to-day site coordination and organisationCarrying out general labouring duties including site preparation,
moving materials, assisting trades, and maintaining clean and secure work areasWorking alongside supervisors, subcontractors, and trades to understand commercial construction processesGaining exposure to the practical and supervisory aspects of commercial building projectsDeveloping the skills and knowledge required for future career progressionWe're looking for someone who:Has a genuine interest in the construction industry and wants to build a long-term careerIs interested in developing skills beyond traditional carpentry and working towards future supervisory rolesIs reliable, punctual and willing to learnHas a positive attitude and strong work ethicHolds a White Card, Drivers Licence, and First Aid/CPR (or obtained in probation)Why join AKAM Constructions?
