The Industry School, formerly the AITC, is unlike any other senior school.

We provide a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 designed to progressively develop employability skills and achieve individualized learning goals while meeting the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
Our aim is to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences that are relevant to the real world of industry.
About the Role
We are now seeking a Teacher Aide to join our Toowoomba School in a part-time (3 days per week - 0.5 FTE)contract capacity to the end of Term ******.

We are seeking a high-performing Teacher Aide to join our innovative, industry-focused senior school (Years *****), where real-world pathways and meaningful learning take centre stage.
In this dynamic role, you will work alongside dedicated educators and industry consultants to place students at the heart of all we do—building strong, trusting relationships while supporting their academic growth and transition into industry.
A keen eye for numeracy and robust maths acumen will be highly valued.

As a Teachers Aide you will contribute to the provision of quality education service by assisting and supporting our Teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide learning space supervision and support as directedAdministration assistance duties including typing Teachingnotes and work programsMaintain anecdotal records of young people to encourage and promote the learning experienceAssist Young People in complying with Teacher instructions as requiredCreating positive and proactive relationships with young people, parents, and employees that leads to a supportive and positive Schoolcommunity

Skills and experience:
Experience working with young people in a classroom settingA passion for helping others and seeing young people thrive in their learning environmentCertificate III in school-basededucation support or equivalent is desirableCertificate lV in Training and Assessment is desirableCurrent working with Children Blue CardCurrent driver's licenceFirst aid and CPR
