Salary from $105,****** - $113,****** per annum plus 12% Superannuation.

As the Open Space Projects Officer, you will play a key role in delivering open space and recreation projects that create lasting community benefits and enhance the quality of our public realm.
Reporting to the Recreation & Sport Team Leader, you will coordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of open space and recreation projects, including capital upgrades, asset renewal programs and initiatives arising from Council's Public Spaces and Recreation Strategy and Open Space Asset Management Plan.

About the Role:
As the Open Space Projects Officer, you will:
Coordinate and deliver open space and recreation projects, including capital works upgrades and asset renewal initiatives.
Prepare project briefs,
tender documentation, specifications and contract documentation for open space and recreation projects.
Manage and supervise project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Support the implementation of Council's Public Spaces and Recreation Strategy and other open space planning initiatives.
Undertake community consultation and stakeholder engagement activities to inform project planning and delivery.
Prepare landscape plans and designs from concept through to construction documentation using industry-standard software.
Provide technical advice on landscape architecture, recreation planning and industry best practice.
Prepare and supervise detailed design and construction plans for Council's parks and recreation assets.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with quality, safety and project requirements.
Contribute to the development of open space management plans, place plans, reports and policies.
What You'll Bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Sport and Recreation Planning, Landscape Management, Civil Project Management or related discipline, and/or significant relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering public open space, recreation, landscape or infrastructure projects.
Experience managing contractors, consultants and project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Demonstrated experience undertaking community consultation and working collaboratively with community groups.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Experience in preparing project documentation, plans, reports, specifications and tender packages.
Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
Sound knowledge of landscape design, recreation planning and public realm infrastructure projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
