with extensive experience in statutory planning and development assessmentAdvanced working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act ****, environmental planning instruments, development control plans and relevant planning legislation, with demonstrated ability to apply these to complex and high‐impact development matters.Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing a professional team to deliver timely, consistent, high‐quality and accountable planning outcomesProven ability to exercise sound professional judgement, delegated authority and evidence‐based decision making in relation to complex, sensitive and politically or commercially significant planning mattersHigh‐level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice, manage escalated matters and represent Council in forums such as planning panels, working groups and community or industry meetingsDemonstrated ability to measure, monitor and improve service delivery, systems and procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, quality and accountability for outcomesExperience managing or contributing to Land and Environment Court of NSW matters, including case preparation, expert input and representation of Council's interestsCurrent Class C Drivers LicenceExperience in urban release area / growth area development assessmentClosing Date for above position: 10/08/2026
