The Finance Team is small, qualified and supportive, offering genuine exposure beyond payroll into broader finance and complianceThe Role - Reporting to the CFO, you'll work as the standalone Payroll Officer within a small finance team.
This is a mixed, hands-on rand end-to-end payroll role where you'll own the function, drive process improvements, and act as the first point of contact for all payroll queries.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess end-to-end payroll for ~100 employees, ensuring accurate and timely paymentManage payroll tax, superannuation,
and leave reconciliations in line with compliance requirementsOperate and optimise the in-house payroll systemServe as the primary help deskfor employee and manager payroll enquiriesCollaborate with the payroll system provider to implement updates and workflow improvementsSupport managers and staff with payroll education and guidance for a smooth user experienceContribute to broader finance, compliance and audit activities as neededWhat You'll BringTertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldMinimum 3 years' experience in a Payroll Officer or similar standalone roleStrong proficiency with payroll systems (Employment Hero experience preferred)Solid understanding of Australian payroll processing, tax, super and complianceHigh attention to detail with excellent reconciliation and analytical skillsClear communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindsetFinance background (e.g., assistant accountant) is advantageousPlease note - only Permanent Residents and Citizens are welcome to apply.
