About the role:
We're looking for an experienced multi skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Afternoon Shift team and play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of our manufacturing and packaging operations.
If you're a qualified maintenance trades person with strong fault-finding skills and enjoy working across production equipment, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure protected, reliable and efficient production.




You will work across electrical and mechanical systems, respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance and partner with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment faults
Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
Complete preventative and predictive maintenance activities
Maintain automated process and packaging machinery
Work with motors, drives, sensors, control circuits and safety systems
Support production changeovers, start-ups and shutdowns
Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Coordinate contractors and support engineering projects
Maintain accurate maintenance records and handovers
Promote a strong safety, quality and food safety culture
Be a LEAN and Safety Culture Leader – supporting the Maintenance Team and overall Site.
About You:
Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification
Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence or restricted
Strong industrial fault-finding and breakdown maintenance experience
Experience working with automated production or packaging equipment
Knowledge of motors, VSDs, sensors, PLC-controlled machinery and machine safety systems
Experience in filling systems, blow moulding equipment and liquid processing
Sound mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work across trade disciplines
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to reliability improvements
Desire to learn and grow within our business
