your role as Financial Controller will be based in Sydney's CBD and you will enjoy an appealing breadth of responsibilities, including but not limited to:Manage, train and mentor a finance team of 2 staffManagement and oversight of the whole finance function while being hands-on with reporting, compliance, tax, budgeting, forecasting & analysisBusiness partner with non-finance stakeholders to understand performance and deliver insightsWork with the leadership team on strategic financial management and to support executive decision-makingOversee and drive projectsDocument and drive best practicesYour BackgroundProfessionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Relatable industry experience is a pre-requisite (e.g. Legal, Consulting, Professional Services etc..)Have worked in a SME in a broad, hands-on finance role previouslyBe a strong communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise with stakeholders, motivate your team, present with confidence and build relationshipsPossess a strong work ethic coupled with exemplary attention to detailThose who have worked in similar capacities with experience in the aforementioned tasks are welcome to apply (e.g. Head of Finance, Finance Manager etc.).
