Scugnizzi is one of Brisbane's busiest and most exciting Italian restaurants, known for serving authentic Roman-style pizza, fresh pasta, and genuine Italian hospitality in the heart of the CBD.
We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

About the Role
As our Head Chef, you will take full ownership of the kitchen, leading the team while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations.
Oversee food preparation and ensure every dish meets Scugnizzi's quality standards.
Develop and improve seasonal menus and specials.
Train, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team.
Manage kitchen rosters and labour costs.
Control food costs, ordering, stock levels, and supplier relationships.
Maintain strict food safety and HACCP standards.




Ensure an organised, clean, and efficient kitchen at all times.
Work closely with management to continuously improve systems and performance.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up.
Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations.
Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality.
Passion for mentoring and developing kitchen staff.
