ESS Engineering is currently looking for a keen and enthusiastic sales & service technician to join our Gladstone team.
You will be based in the Gladstone Office/Workshop and required to undertake site works in the mining, sugar, agriculture, and food industries.
The role will be to assist with installation and servicing of material handling components and will entail sales trips and conveyor inspections and audits within our region.The position is a hands-on role for a mechanically minded person who can problem-solve and think on their feet.
Training is on the job which details the different components of materials handling equipment and workings of a conveyor system.
This role would suit a qualified tradesperson looking to specialise their skills and knowledge in the material handling sector.
Travel is an integral part of this position, our clients' sites may be within the Mackay,



Townsville and Gladstone region and some more remote locations in QLD.Do you possess the below skills?
Site experience within the mining & sugar industries or similarKnowledge in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, and power ToolsMicrosoft office knowledge and ability to use ComputerProblem-solve who can think on their feet and use initiativeAbility to read and interpret basic engineering drawingsKnowledge of hazard identification and controlsCurrent Australian Driver's licenseWorking at Heights & Confined space (desirable)Be able to and willing to pass regular Drug and Alcohol Screening.Be able to pass a Pre-employment MedicalSelf-motivator with a curious mind and can be initiativeAbility to sell themselves and present themselves to Client based people.The suitable candidate will be supplied with a company vehicle, mobile phone & laptop.
