As our team grows, we have an exciting prospect for an Assistant Accountant to join the Blue Water Shipping team in our Hamilton (Brisbane) office.Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, your role will be to provide accounting support within the Oceania Region.
This position has the potential for professional growth and development as our business continues to succeed.The objectives of this position include:Corporate and transactional financial processing, including AP and ARGeneral ledger coding and reconciliationPrepare month-end reconciliations and reportsAssist with lodgment of Payroll tax, GST, FBT, PAYG and income taxAssist with preparation of cashflow forecastsCollate and prepare documents for annuals auditAssist with payroll processesBank and Credit Card reconciliationsTo be successful in this role,



you'll need:Bachelor of Accounting or FinanceMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar rolePrevious experience in a transactional accounting/bookkeeping positionExperience in an international or regional (APAC) environment would be an advantageStrong attention to detail and accuracyIntermediate to Advanced proficiency in ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to gain and maintain a Criminal History ClearanceAbout UsBlue Water Shipping (BWS) is a global provider of all logistics services in the modern supply chain management.
