About the Role
As a Support at Home Worker, you will provide tailored in-home support services aligned with each client's Support Plan, goals, and approved funding.
Your work will span personal care, daily living assistance, independence supports, social engagement, and community access — all delivered with dignity, respect, and a genuine commitment to client choice.
You will work across a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends, supporting older Australians to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.
What You'll Do
Provide personal care including showering, grooming, dressing, mobility support, and safe transfers
Support clients with daily living tasks including meal preparation, medication prompts, shopping, and light domestic assistance
Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction to promote wellbeing and independence
Assist clients to attend appointments and participate in community activities
Monitor and report changes in client condition or wellbeing to the Care Coordinator
Maintain accurate, timely case notes and documentation in line with Aged Care Quality Standards and SIRS requirements
Deliver all services strictly in accordance with the client's Support Plan, funding scope, and For Care policies
About You
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Home and Community Care, or equivalent — essential
Previous experience in aged care, home care, or community services highly regarded
Compassionate, patient, and qualified approach to care
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with older people from diverse backgrounds
Reliable, organised, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality support
Basic digital literacy for completing case notes and accessing care management systems
Own or have regular access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle for travel between clients
Eligible to work in Australia
Mandatory Requirements
Current National Police Check (within 12 months)
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Valid Driver's License and comprehensively insured vehicle
Evidence of required vaccinations in line with aged care guidelines
NDIS Worker Screening Check (desirable but not essential depending on service area)
Pay and Employment Conditions
This role is engaged on a casual basis under the Aged Care Award ****, Community Home Care stream.
Your hourly rate will be determined by your experience and qualifications:
Level 2.2 - Direct Carer with 3 months or more of aged care experience, no formal qualification required
Level 2.3 - Qualified Direct Carer holding a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
Rates include the 25% casual loading, which replaces paid leave entitlements.
