CoastCare Sydney is seeking compassionate and dedicated mentors to join our growing MentorMate and SisterLink programs.
We are currently recruiting:Male Mentors to support boys and young men through the MentorMate Program in the Sutherland Shire and Kellyville.Female Mentors to support girls and young women through the SisterLink Program in Blacktown and the Sutherland Shire.This is much more than traditional disability support work.

trauma backgrounds and psychosocial or behavioural support needs.
Our mentors provide positive male role modelling while helping participants build confidence, emotional regulation, social skills and independence.SisterLinkSisterLink supports girls and young women to develop self-confidence, independence, healthy relationships and life skills through safe, respectful and empowering female mentorship.Both programs are founded on trauma-informed, person-centred practice and aim to create meaningful, lasting outcomes for participants.About the RoleAs a Mentor, you'll work one-on-one with participants within their local community, supporting them to achieve their NDIS goals while becoming a positive, consistent role model.Your role may include:Supporting community participation and social inclusionAttending appointments and recreational activitiesDeveloping independent living and daily living skillsBuilding confidence, resilience and emotional regulationEncouraging healthy relationships and positive decision-makingSupporting participants to achieve individual goalsProviding consistent mentoring in a safe and skilled mannerYou'll work collaboratively with Behaviour Support Practitioners, Support Coordinators, families and the wider CoastCare Sydney team to provide high-quality, participant-centred supports.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one community access and mentoring supportsBuild safe,
respectful and professional mentoring relationshipsPromote independence, confidence and skill developmentImplement Positive Behaviour Support strategies where requiredSupport emotional regulation, routines and daily living skillsMaintain clear professional boundariesComplete accurate shift notes and incident reportsCommunicate effectively with participants, families and the wider support teamAbout YouWe're looking for mentors who are:Compassionate, patient and emotionally intelligentReliable, professional and resilientPositive role models who genuinely enjoy working with young peoplePassionate about empowering others to achieve their goalsAble to work independently while contributing to a supportive teamExperience in disability support, youth work, mental health, psychology, education, social work or community services is highly regarded, but we also welcome applicants with the right values and willingness to learn.Essential RequirementsNDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)Australian working rightsCurrent Driver LicenceReliable, comprehensively insured vehicle (mandatory)Ability to travel within your designated service areaSmartphone for communication and electronic documentationWhy Join CoastCare Sydney?
