Chandler Macleod is partnering with Rio Tinto to recruit an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee earthworks activities at Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long‐term project where you'll coordinate contractors, drive safe work practices and play a key role in delivering critical earthworks on dam infrastructure within an operational refinery environment.With an initial 12-month contract and a strong pipeline of ongoing work, this role offers stability, challenging projects and the opportunity to work alongside experienced site teams.About the Role As the Construction Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating day‐to‐day earthworks activities while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.Working closely with contractors, operations and site stakeholders, you'll oversee construction activities, monitor progress, manage site risks and keep works moving safely and on schedule.Key responsibilities include:Coordinating daily site works and construction resourcesReviewing JHAs, risk assessments and safe work documentationManaging scope, variations and work prioritiesMonitoring project progress and maintaining delivery schedulesBuilding strong relationships with operations, contractors and project teamsPromoting a strong safety culture across siteProviding regular progress updates to project stakeholdersConstruction Supervisor – EarthworksReady to take the lead on a major earthworks program within one of Queensland's largest heavy industrial operations?
