Australian Tissue Donation Network – Frenchs Forest NSW
As a Tissue Coordinator at the Australian Tissue Donation Network, you will play a crucial part in facilitating the donation and recovery of tissues that can transform and save lives.
In this full-time role based in Frenchs Forest, NSW, you will work closely with healthcare professionals and coordinate the end-to-end tissue donation process.
What you'll be doing
Liaise with hospitals, clinicians and donor families to coordinate all aspects of the tissue donation process from referral to recovery
Receipting and swabbing of incoming tissue
Assess donor medical and social histories to determine tissue donation eligibility
Provide comprehensive information and support to potential donors throughout the donation process
Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and protocols
Collaborate with the medical and hospital team to facilitate our Living Donor Programs.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and training programs
Participate in on-call duties and respond to tissue donation referrals as required
What we're looking for




Would suit a nursing, science or allied healthcare professional with experience in a clinical or medical setting
Demonstrated understanding of the tissue donation and transplantation process
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
Robust problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making abilities
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexible and adaptable- participation in a weekend on-call roster required.
