Becoming a Knifehand at Oakey Beef Exports is an opportunity to upskill and create a long-term pathway, with over 50+ different trimming and Knifehand roles in one department alone.
This Knifehand position offers:Full-time, permanent employment in OakeyMonday to Friday shifts, with five (5) Saturday's each year5:30AM - 1:36PM working hours (+1hr OT when required)Full on the job training including a Certificate in Meat ProcessingWorking as a Knifehand is fast-paced and can be physically demanding.
Having the motivation to learn will be an asset in your success.
Previous experience using a knife will be extremely advantageous!
Some areas of experience that would be beneficial include:Butcher experienceKnife sharpening experienceMeat/Seafood/Poultry processing experienceWhile we are currently seeking candidates with existing knife skills, we also offer entry-level roles where training can be provided for those will the motivation to learn!
