About the Role: Experience is preferred but not essential - for the right candidate, we offer a fast-tracked pathway from casual to permanent part-time employment.
Brighter Access is currently looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in the Cessnock, East Maitland, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle areas.
In this role, you will provide high-quality care to participants with a range of support needs.
Your responsibilities will include personal care, domestic assistance, and behaviour support, all while helping to create a positive, safe, and empowering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal care tasks, including showering, hoisting, toileting, and continence aids.
Provide behaviour support in alignment with participant needs and individual plans.
Help with meal planning and preparation to ensure dietary requirements are met.
Assist with domestic duties and ensure a clean, safe environment.




Support the participant in achieving their goals, promoting independence where possible.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in personal care and domestic assistance is essential.
Experience in behaviour support is preferred.
A passion for helping others and making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience with medication administration and hoisting is highly regarded.

NDIS worker screening clearance (or willing to apply)
Working with Children Clearance (or willing to apply)
Current First Aid
Drivers Licence and reliable Insured & registered vehicle
Targeted training and professional development
