With a strong pipeline of high-profile projects, we're looking for a Site Engineer/Project Engineer who wants to be part of a team that delivers challenging FRP packages with excellence.At Damcon, we're committed to supporting and developing our people, giving you the tools, mentorship, and opportunities to grow into a future leader in the civil construction industry.The RoleThis is a hands-on role working closely with a Project Manager , Site Supervisors, and the project team to plan, coordinate, and deliver FRP works from start to finish.You'll take ownership of formwork sequencing, reinforcement installation, concrete pours, and temporary works, ensuring safety, quality, and program requirements are met,
while also managing the commercial and administrative aspects that keep the job running smoothly.What you'll be doingInterpret and review engineering plans and specificationsReview, interpret Temporary works designsPlan and coordinate formwork installation, reinforcement placement, and concrete pours in line with project sequencingWork alongside Site Supervisors to oversee daily site activities and subcontractor performanceConduct FRP quality inspections, complete ITPs, and ensure defects are closed out promptlyManage procurement, prepare scopes of work, and coordinate suppliers and deliveriesPrepare and submit RFIs, variations, EOTs, and payment claimsTrack budgets, forecast costs, and support cash flow planningMaintain accurate project records including site diaries, timesheets, and progress reportsAttend and contribute to internal and client progress meetings, reporting on milestones and challengesLiaise with in-house and external drafting teams to review and transmit shop drawingsEnsure all FRP designs and temporary works comply with engineering requirements and WHS standardsProactively identify buildability issues and develop practical solutions with the project teamWhat we're looking forTertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline3+ years' experience in civil infrastructure with a robust focus on FRP deliverySolid understanding of formwork systems, reinforcement detailing, sequencing, and temporary worksExperience managing subcontractors, budgets, and project documentation on active sitesWhite Card and Driver's License (RIW Card advantageous)Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsOptimistic and proactive approachAble to work in fast-paced site environments while maintaining quality and safety standardsAbility to travel to across Sydney (company car provided upon request).
