have relevant experience and want to work for an organisation dedicated to supporting one of the most vulnerable groups in our communities, we want to hear from you.Role ResponsibilitiesAs an Aged Care Advocate, you'll be responsible for:Listening to and supporting older people who are receiving or seeking aged care services, as well as their representatives, to make informed decisions through telephone and face-to-face support.Advocating on behalf of clients in response to concerns raised with aged care service providers.Advocating on behalf of older people receiving or seeking to receive aged care services to ensure their rights are upheld and responded to appropriately.Managing information and advocacy cases using Salesforce database.Referring clients to other services including the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.Providing education and information sessions to aged care recipients within Residential Aged Care.Assisting in developing and maintaining appropriate information resources for clients.Participating in seniors' events, information days, displays and exhibitions in the local area.Contributing to promotional campaigns targeting identified priority groups.Participating in the maintenance and development of local networks and relationships to promote Seniors Rights Service and expand its reach.Contributing to identification and monitoring of systemic issues arising for people receiving or seeking to receive aged care services and/or their representatives.Travelling intrastate for work as required.Degree or equivalent education in social work, psychology or related field,
