POV Plant and Haulage is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in Wamuran, QLD.
This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic construction environment.
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy plant and machinery on various construction sites.
Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on schedule whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
This role is based in the Moreton bay area and requires someone who is reliable, safety-conscious and committed to operational excellence.What you'll be doingConducting pre-operation safety checks and maintenance inspections to ensure all equipment is in safe working conditionFollowing all safety protocols and site-specific procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and othersAccurately positioning materials and equipment as directed by site supervisors and project managersMaintaining accurate records and logs of equipment usage, hours and any maintenance issuesCommunicating effectively with ground personnel, spotters and supervisors to coordinate operationsMonitoring equipment performance and reporting any faults or mechanical issues immediatelyAdhering to project timelines and contributing to efficient site operationsWhat we're looking forCurrent and valid High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) or equivalent certification demonstrating competency in operating heavy plant machineryProven experience trenching in a straight line,
working around services and sanding upStrong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and a demonstrated commitment to safe working practicesExcellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues and ground personnelValid driver's license appropriate to the machinery and truck being operatedAbility to read and interpret site plans, safety instructions and operational guidelinesPhysical fitness and capability to work in varying weather conditions and challenging environmentsReliability, punctuality and a professional attitude toward workExperience in the construction or civil works industry is highly desirableWhat we offerPOV Plant and Haulage is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace where our team members can thrive.
