Change Young Lives.We're looking for an experienced and passionate House Manager to lead one of our Residential Care homes in Deception BayThis is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting children and young people with high and complex needs.
You'll create a safe, stable and therapeutic home environment where young people can heal, build resilience and develop the skills they need to thrive.Working within Life Without Barriers' therapeutic CARE framework, you'll mentor and coach your team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care while ensuring the home operates safely, effectively and in line with best practice.This is a permanent full-time leadership position.
Flexibility is required, including occasional shift coverage to support operational needs.Why Join Us?




Permanent full time role with monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO)Attractive salary plus salary packaging benefitsOngoing learning, leadership development and career progressionComprehensive induction, training and therapeutic practice supportOpportunity to lead a passionate, purpose-driven teamWork for one of Australia's largest social purpose organisationsWhat You'll Be DoingAs House Manager, you'll:Lead, mentor and support a team of Residential Youth WorkersFoster a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home environmentDrive the implementation of the CARE model and trauma-informed practiceCoordinate case planning and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young peopleSupport staff in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) strategiesManage rosters, staffing and day-to-day operational requirementsOversee the intake, transition and exit of young people from the serviceBuild strong relationships with families, Child Safety, community organisations and cultural supportsEnsure compliance, quality documentation and accurate client recordsAbout YouYou are an experienced leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.You'll bring:Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or equivalent) (essential)A degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline (highly regarded)Experience leading teams within residential care, child protection or community servicesDemonstrated experience supporting children and young people who have experienced traumaStrong leadership, coaching and reflective supervision skillsExperience managing complex situations, critical incidents and competing prioritiesExcellent communication, organisational and documentation skillsCurrent First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Willingness to complete the Hope and Healing Framework Foundations training prior to commencementSuccessful applicants will be required to complete relevant probity checks, including a National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check.
