Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS6 Technical Advisory to work for one of our Federal Government clients at Parramatta, NSW.
The position is a contract till end of Dec with the possibility of extension.
The role pays $***** per hour + Super.
7.6 hours per day and 38 hours per week
About the role
This role provides technical, qualified, operational and policy advice on complex matters relating to participant supports and funding decisions.
You will use your clinical or allied health expertise to help achieve consistent, high-quality outcomes, while working closely with internal stakeholders, delegates, partners and service providers.
The role offers a level of autonomy and requires sound judgement to interpret legislation, policy, procedures and practices.
You may also provide guidance, coaching and support to team members while assisting with workflow priorities and team deliverables.
Key responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise and advice on appropriate supports to achieve participant outcomes.
Use a coaching and mentoring approach to support consistent decision-making.
Manage sensitive conversations relating to funding approvals and support needs.
Liaise with stakeholders, delegates, providers and partners to achieve quality outcomes.
Provide clear, accurate written and telephone advice, documentation and record keeping.
Interpret legislation and policy to resolve complex matters.
Contribute to planning, project work,
program activities and policy development.
Support team workflow management, priorities and professional guidance where required.
Required qualifications
Candidates must hold a degree, advanced diploma or relevant qualification in one of the following areas:
Occupational Therapy
Prosthetics and Orthotics
Physiotherapy
Registered Nursing (eligible for AHPRA registration)
Social Work
Mental Health Practice
Behaviour Support Practice
Medico-Legal Allied Health
Audiology
Skills and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Sound critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Experience providing guidance, mentoring or professional support to colleagues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant administrative systems.
Disability, hospital or aged care experience.
Clinical experience within health or allied health settings.
Experience providing clinical or technical advice at individual and systemic levels.
Experience leading, mentoring or supporting staff to improve quality and consistency.
Experience managing team deliverables and competing priorities.
Eligibility for AHPRA or relevant professional association registration.
