About the Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of civil and infrastructure projects, including:
URD (Underground Residential Developments)
Ergon Energy projects
Energex projects
Road lighting and traffic signal infrastructure
Civil electrical infrastructure
Commercial developments and government projects
Working closely with our management team,



project managers and suppliers, you will play a key role in securing future work for the business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions
Interpret civil and electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Perform accurate quantity take-offs
Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
Develop pricing strategies and identify value engineering opportunities
Prepare tender clarifications and supporting documentation
Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings where required
Assist with project handovers to the delivery team
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience estimating electrical projects
Strong experience in Civil Electrical, URD, Ergon and/or Energex projects
Excellent understanding of Queensland electrical distribution standards
Ability to read and interpret civil and electrical drawings
Robust knowledge of electrical materials, labour and construction methodologies
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
High level of computer literacy
Experience with estimating software (Expert Estimation, Simpro, Benchmark, Candy or similar) is advantageous
Qualifications
Electrical Trade Qualification (preferred)
Current Electrical Licence (preferred)
Current Driver Licence
Estimating or project management experience within the electrical industry
