With an expanding pipeline of diverse projects across the state, Stockwell is looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our growing team.
The position is based in West End at our Vulture Street office, and on-site in South Brisbane.
You and the Project Manager will be responsible for the commercial outcome of the project.
Stockwell is looking for candidates who are driven team players, results oriented, and passionate with a sound knowledge of current building and contracts practices.
You must enjoy working collaboratively to drive the procurement to deliver a strong project pipeline in inner Brisbane.
The Position
Work with the Project Manager and Site Manager to understand the Project Procurement and Delivery Strategy requirements to tender, negotiate, let, administer and forecast subcontracts in the delivery of projects.
Position Responsibilities
Ensure all scopes of works are detailed and thorough, with no gaps between trades to provide the full tender package.
Make sure subcontractors have all of the information they need so they can take the risk out of their price prior to tendering.
Tender, coordinate and analyse subcontractor pricing to create the Market Tested Price which will inform the Letting Budget.
Understand delivery and construction program at all times to ensure the trades are coordinated and on-site ready to go.
With the approval of the Project Manager, carry out letting and Contract signing.
Administer subcontracts throughout the project.
Accurate monthly reporting through Jobpac with attention to forecasting and cashflow in-line with the program.
Experience in the negotiation and administration of construction subcontracts.
Comprehensive knowledge of local tender processes and contract management practices.
A comprehensive knowledge of products and services available.
A positive understanding of the administration of all trades within the building industry.
Be able to read plans.
Be able to measure and scale drawings.
Be able to add value through design, costing and value management.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Strong organisation and document management skills.
Ability to negotiate to achieve the best price.
Experience
A minimum for 7 years in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Contract Administrating, post qualification.
Completed studies in Quantity surveying or Construction Management.
Have experience across high-rise residential building practices.
General safety induction (Blue card).
Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Jobpac and Payapps (or similar).
