This expansion will significantly increase our capacity and enable us to meet the rapidly growing healthcare needs of the Wyndham community, providing timely, high-quality emergency care to an additional 25,000 patients each year.
As we are preparing to launch this expanded service, we are seeking a Social Workers to join our committed, established team.

Emergency DepartmentExperienced Grade 2 full and part-time clinician roles are availableAbility to work day and afternoon shifts during the week and weekendBe part of a team of experienced Social Workers committed to providing high quality, evidence-based, responsive social work services to a broad range of client groups in the Emergency Department and Short Stay UnitsAdvocate for vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families through fostering strong relationships with the multidisciplinary teams within the ED/SSU, and across the HospitalContribute to quality improvement activities, delivering excellence in patient-centred care within a crisis-driven medical settingWhat you'll bring:Minimum 5 years' post-qualifying experience and eligible for membership to AASWExperience working in a multidisciplinary team with complex individuals and families across the lifespanDemonstrated time-management and organisational skills, strongly developed multidisciplinary teamwork capabilities and ability to supervise Grade 1 Social Workers and studentsUnderstanding of, and ability to comply with relevant legislation and frameworks underpinning health social workPrior hospital experience is highly desirable, as is relevant work experience in the communityWe acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples, traditional Custodians of the Land in which our Head Office is based, on traditional lands of the Kulin Nation and recognise their deep connections to the land, sea, and culture.
