This is an excellent opportunity to develop your litigation practice in a supportive environment where your contributions will directly impact client outcomes and firm growth.
You will work alongside experienced legal professionals, gaining exposure to a diverse range of disputes whilst building your expertise in litigation practice.The practice is primarily defendant insurance work with an accent on workers compensation, property damage, public liability and dust diseases litigation.
Exposure to maritime and reinsurance matters is also part of the practice.What you'll be doingPreparing and drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondenceConducting legal research and providing written and oral advice to clients on dispute resolution mattersManaging case files and maintaining organised legal documentationAttending to client liaison and providing regular case updatesPreparing matters for mediation,
arbitration and court proceedingsAssisting with evidence gathering and witness preparationSupporting senior practitioners in court appearances and tribunal representationContributing to the development of case strategy and dispute resolution approachesMaintaining compliance with professional conduct rules and practice management proceduresMentoring junior staff to develop their professional skillsWhat we're looking forCurrent admission as a Solicitor with the NSW Supreme CourtMinimum 2-5 years' experience in litigation and dispute resolution practiceStrong legal research and writing skills with attention to detailExcellent communication abilities, both written and oralProficiency in legal practice management software and Microsoft Office applicationsSound time management and case management capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamProfessional conduct and commitment to ethical practice standardsPreferred experience in commercial disputes, civil litigation, or related dispute resolution mattersA proactive approach to client service and problem-solvingWhat we offerOur client offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience.
