With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their manufacturing team based in Chipping NortonfacilityAbout the RoleThis position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
You will play a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production performance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Working Hours & PayMonday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pmOvertime required as neededWeekend work required when necessary (e.g. shutdown work)$***** per hour + applicable overtime ratesKey ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipmentDiagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairsReplace or fabricate components as requiredConduct inspections and servicing to prevent failuresRespond promptly to emergency breakdownsAssist with tooling changes and production line start-upsParticipate in shift changeoversMaintain accurate maintenance recordsMonitor and manage maintenance consumables and spare partsPromote and uphold a strong safety cultureSkills and ExperienceMandatory Requirements:Mechanical Fitting Trade Qualification (MERSITAB or equivalent)Experience with Permit to Work systemsLock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) knowledgeHigh Risk Forklift LicenceHighly Regarded:Restricted Electrical LicenceExperience in manufacturing, extrusion, or automation environmentsPVC granulation or mixing experienceHigh Risk Bridge and Gantry Crane LicenceHigh Risk EWP LicenceExperience using ERP systems (JDE, MEX or similar)About YouStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilityAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamSafety-focused with strong risk awarenessSelf-motivated and proactiveSound written, verbal, and basic computer skillsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established industry leader offering competitive rates, secure employment, and ongoing opportunities within a large-scale operation.
