With businesses spanning paint manufacturing, road marking services and a newly acquired resort asset, the group is continuing to evolve into a broader, more integrated operating model.
This role sits at agrouplevel and will help shape a shared services HR function that supports multiple business units with different workforce profiles, operating environments and compliance requirements.
The opportunity
Omega Industries is seeking a hands-onGroup HR Managerto lead operational HR across the group.
This is a step-up opportunity for an experienced HR Manager who wants a broader remit, greater visibility and the chance to work directly with executive leadership and the board.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys building structure, improving process and staying close to the day-to-day operations of the business.
It is not a purely strategic or corporate HR role; it requires a practical operator who can move between HR operations, WHS, reporting, policy, compliance and stakeholder support across a diverse portfolio.
Key responsibilities
Lead day-to-day HR operations across the group, ensuring consistent and practical support to all business units.
Support the development of a group-level shared services HR model across manufacturing, road services and hospitality operations.
Provide advice and hands‐on support across employee relations, performance matters, policies, procedures and general people issues.
Manage HR administration, onboarding, employment documentation,
record management and core people processes to deliver accurate, compliant and efficient HR operations.
Coordinate and strengthen WHS practices, working with leaders across the group to improve compliance, reporting and risk awareness.
Prepare regular HR and WHS reports, insights and board‐level updates for the executive leadership team.
Contribute to workforce planning and organisational capability as the group continues to expand and diversify.
Manage recruitment strategies and the end‐to‐end employee lifecycle, ensuring timely hiring, effective onboarding and improved retention across operational teams.
Drive consistency in HR frameworks while allowing for the practical needs of different business units and locations.
Partner with leaders to improve employee experience, retention, communication and accountability.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and lift the effectiveness of the shared services function.
Candidate profile
The successful candidate is likely to be an operationally strong HR Manager ready to step into a broader group role.
They will be comfortable working across multiple business types and will bring a balance of HR knowledge, practical judgement and executive presence.
Likely background
Experience as an HR Manager, or similar hands‐on HR leader.
Exposure to multi‐site, operational or blue‐collar workforces.
Experience in environments such as manufacturing, industrial services, logistics, construction, facilities, hospitality or similarly diverse operating businesses.
Strong grounding in HR operations, compliance, policy implementation and people process improvement.
Experience supporting or partnering with senior leaders on HR and workforce matters.
Exposure to WHS coordination, reporting or governance.
Confidence preparing reports and presenting people‐related information to executive stakeholders.
