The RoleBGIS is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Self Perform team servicing Newcastle, delivering high-quality carpentry maintenance, repairs, and minor works across commercial client facilities.
In this role, you'll provide end-to-end building maintenance support as part of a collaborative building services team.
You'll be responsible for planned and reactive carpentry works including repairs, fit-outs, installations, and general building maintenance, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to BGIS quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing
Deliver planned and reactive carpentry maintenance across client facilities
Conduct building repairs, installations, refurbishments, and general carpentry works
Complete minor construction and fit-out works across commercial building environments
Maintain and manage company tools and equipment
Complete work orders within required timeframes using BGIS systems
Support service delivery to meet contract KPIs and client expectations
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders where required
Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and maintained to BGIS quality standards
Provide job estimates and assist with maintenance planning where required
Ensure all works comply with WHS, compliance, environmental, and quality standards
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders




Contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices across service delivery
Your Education, Experience & Skills
Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
Minimum 3 years of post-trade carpentry experience
Strong technical understanding of building maintenance and construction
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Current Driver's Licence
White Card (Construction Induction)
Full working rights in Australia (essential)
