Mechanical Fitter / Service Technician (Compressors)This role involves service and repair of industrial air and gas compressors, gas engines and associated equipment.You will be a Mechanical Fitter (Service Technician) working mainly in local projects in Lytton, QLD and once in a while you will be working in inter-state projects.This role will involve:Scheduled maintenance and overhaul of Compressors, Gas Engines, Rotating Machinery & associated equipmentThe accurate and timely recording of data related to work performedFault finding and problem solvingInstallation and commissioning of equipmentWorking closely with sales and service personnel.Maintaining relationships with customers to promote and retain businessParticipation in training and development opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleaguesWhat you'll need to succeed:Relevant formal education and training (Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Machining or Equivalent)Experience in working with CompressorsExperience with Gas Engines and /or associated equipment in the oil and gas industry is highly regardedA willingness to travel domestically, and occasionally to remote locations for service work at client facilities (Field Service)A current Drivers LicenseWhat is being offered:Hourly rate: $48-$55ph (or more for the right fit)Annual bonuses guaranteed (15% of the salary)Plenty of overtime availableWorking hours: Mon-Thu: 6am to 2:30pm.
